Sydney Cremation Funerals

Cremations Sydney: If you are planning a funeral in Sydney, cremations are a less complex and cost-effective option.

Traditionally burials were a common way to farewell a loved one in Australia. Today, cremations are the most popular funeral option in Sydney and NSW.

Cremations are becoming increasingly popular as burial sites around Sydney are costly, less available, and further away.

Additionally, as people become more transient and families move in and out of Sydney, across Australia and the world, they often wish to take their loved ones with them.

Whatever your reason, a Sydney cremation funeral is an option to consider. At Victoria Cross Funerals, all our services include a Funeral Support Manager who will care for you from start to finish. Together, they will guide you to create a personalised funeral service experience for your loved one. They will help you through the documentation and legal requirements to ensure the process is stress-free at this difficult time.

Sydney Funeral
Cremations Options

We provide a Funeral Support Manager with all our services,
helping you from start to finish.

A cremation should always be performed by someone reputable who will adhere to the state government guidelines and have policies and procedures to ensure that the deceased and their ashes are always identifiable.

For your peace of mind, we have carefully selected a professional, clean, modern, and easy-to-access cremation facility in Sydney. A name plate will stay with the deceased at all times throughout the cremation process, ensuring their identity and safety. The cremation process can take 1-2 hours. The ashes will be ready to be returned to the family within 2-3 business days.

We have live-streaming services for family and friends who cannot attend because of distances in Sydney or because they live elsewhere. The family may wish to have a memorial after the service and cremation. A funeral service can be held before cremation to celebrate and remember the deceased.

Faith Based Funeral Cremation Service

We support all Faith Denominations.

This is a more traditional service at a Church, Temple, Synagogue or Chapel of your choice, followed by a transfer to a Crematorium of your choice for Cremation. This can include a service at the Crematorium.

Crematorium Chapel Funeral Service

A simple funeral service with one venue only.

Funeral Service held at the Crematorium Chapel, followed by a Cremation on site. The convenience of using the Crematoriums Chapel, is that there is only one venue for the funeral service.

After Cremation Options

One Burial Plot for the Family

You can add cremated remains to an existing relative’s burial plot or lay someone’s ashes to rest with a family member, starting at approximately $3,000. Ask your Funeral Support Manager about our range of urns.

Memorial Wall

Placing the ashes in a Memorial Wall at the Cemetery of your choice for a lasting and elegant memorial. This option is often more cost-effective, especially in areas where traditional burial plots may be expensive or scarce. It provides a place to attend to the remains at a reasonable cost.

Relocating Remains with Ease

Relocating a deceased family member’s body, also known as Repatriation, overseas or interstate can be very expensive. Cremation provides a cost-effective alternative, allowing the return of a loved one overseas and interstate.

Keep Your Loved One Close

Cremated remains can be kept with family members in urns, vases, keepsakes, and jewellery. We can separate the ashes for you. Ask your Funeral Support Manager to look at your options.

Laying them to Rest

Scattering of ashes in a sentimental outdoor location that is special to your loved one and honours them and their life. This could include overseas. A Local Council permit may be required for public locations in Australia, and special permits are needed to transport ashes overseas.
